Focus stacking lets you make images with more depth of field and better sharpness than you can get any other way.  This class will explain how to use focus stacking in applications from landscapes through macro and micro.  Class coverage includes basic techniques, a wide range of automation options, software processing, and troubleshooting.  Class instructor Rik Littlefield wrote the Zerene Stacker software package, which of course will be used for most of the examples.

More than one way to skin a cat when it comes to panoramas; there are great ways to do them without investing in extra gear or software.  The best stitching program I know of is free, and it is highly tolerant of imperfect image sets.  Many times no extra tools at all are needed.  Otherwise a little care and practice can substitute nicely for tripod levels and specialized pano heads.
